About Drosera brevicornis Lowrie

Drosera brevicornis Lowrie is a small, perennial carnivorous plant in the sundew genus Drosera. It is native to the Northern Territory and Western Australia, where it grows on gravel slopes. It produces white to pink flowers in March and April. Though the earliest known collected specimens date back to 1961, the species was first formally described by Allen Lowrie in 1996. Its specific epithet "brevicornis" translates to "short horned", a reference to the horn-shaped projection located above the plant's anthers. Drosera brevicornis is closely related to Drosera fulva.
