Drasteria inepta (commonly called the inept drasteria) is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. Its scientific name was first published by Edwards in 1881. This moth has a geographic range extending from Arizona to Texas in the southern United States, and reaches north into the states of Colorado and Utah. The wingspan of adult Drasteria inepta measures between 35 and 43 millimeters. Adult moths of this species are active and in flight from April through August each year.
