Dracophyllum strictum, commonly called totorowhiti, is a shrub species that is endemic to New Zealand. Joseph Dalton Hooker first published a description of this species in 1844. Its specific epithet strictum refers to its rigid, closely packed leaves. It is a member of the heath family, Ericaceae. This plant grows in habitats ranging from lowland to montane forest and shrubland, and reaches a height between 50 cm and 300 cm, or 20 in and 120 in.
