Disakisperma dubium, with the scientific name Disakisperma dubium (Kunth) P.M.Peterson & N.Snow, is a grass species that has the common names green sprangletop and zacate gigante. It is native to the Americas, with a distribution ranging from the United States down to Argentina. This is a perennial grass that grows to a maximum height of 110 centimeters. Its leaves can reach up to 35 centimeters in length, and their texture ranges from hairless to hairy or rough. The leaf sheaths of this grass sometimes have a purple color. Its inflorescence is a branching panicle that bears brown or greenish spikelets. This species makes good forage for animals, and it is sometimes included in seed mixes used to establish vegetation on rangeland.
