About Disa venusta Bolus

Disa venusta Bolus is a perennial geophyte from the genus Disa, and it is a member of the fynbos. This plant is endemic to the Western Cape, where it grows between the Cape Peninsula and Bredasdorp, mostly at elevations below 450 m above sea level. Its area of occurrence covers 2920 km². Its habitat is continually shrinking because of coastal development, invasive plant species, and the absence of regular veld fires.
