Disa bivalvata (L.f.) T.Durand & Schinz is a perennial geophyte in the Disa genus, classified as part of the fynbos biome. This plant is endemic to South Africa's Eastern Cape and Western Cape, with a distribution range that extends from the Cape Peninsula to Humansdorp. It grows to a maximum height of 30 cm and produces bicoloured flowers. Flowering occurs mainly from September to January, and typically happens after fires. In parts of its range, Disa bivalvata is threatened by invasive plant species.
