Diplotaxis erucoides (L.) DC. is an herbaceous plant that grows 20 to 60 centimeters (8 to 23 1/2 inches) tall. It has a green, erect, sparsely pubescent stem, and pinnatisect leaves that can reach up to 15 centimeters in length. Its flowers grow in racemes, each with four 6–8 mm white petals, four sepals, six stamens, and a style topped with a green stigma. The fruit is a 25–33 mm siliqua that holds 40 to 80 seeds arranged in two parallel series.
