Diospyros glabra, commonly known as the fynbos star-apple, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Ebenaceae. It is native to the Cape Provinces of South Africa. This species grows as an evergreen shrub or small tree, reaching a maximum height of 5 meters (16 feet), and can be found growing in a wide range of fynbos habitats.
