About Dicymolomia metalliferalis Packard, 1873

Dicymolomia metalliferalis is a species of moth in the family Crambidae, first described by Alpheus Spring Packard in 1873. This moth is distributed in western North America, with its range extending from southern Vancouver Island and Washington, through Oregon, to California and western Arizona. Adults of this species have a wingspan of approximately 16 millimeters. Recorded observations show that the larvae of Dicymolomia metalliferalis feed on decaying seed pods of several Lupinus species, specifically Lupinus albifrons and Lupinus latifolius.
