About Dichrorampha petiverella (Linnaeus, 1758)
Dichrorampha petiverella (Linnaeus, 1758) is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. It occurs in the Palearctic realm. This moth has a wingspan measuring 10–13 mm. Its forewings are dark fuscous, with pale orange ochreous specks scattered across the posterior section. The posterior portion of the costa is marked with alternating whitish stripes. A distinct, narrow, curved whitish-yellow transverse median dorsal blotch is present, along with two dark leaden-metallic oblique streaks extending from the posterior costa. There are three or four black dots on the central portion of the termen, and a whitish subapical dash. The hindwings are dark fuscous, and are lighter in color towards the base. The larva of Dichrorampha petiverella has a pinkish-white body, a yellowish-brown head, and a brownish-tinged plate on its second segment. Adult moths fly from April to August. The larvae feed on Achillea millefolium and tansy.
