About Dichelia histrionana (Frölich, 1828)

Dichelia histrionana (Frölich, 1828) is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. Its distribution ranges from Fennoscandia south to Belgium, Italy, and Greece, and east from the Netherlands to Poland and Romania. This species has a wingspan of 17 to 22 millimeters. Adult moths are active from the end of May through late August. The larvae of Dichelia histrionana feed on species from the Picea and Abies genera. The species overwinters as a young larva inside a mined needle. Larvae can be found from August to June of the next year.
