About Dichanthelium xanthophysum (A.Gray) Freckmann
Dichanthelium xanthophysum, previously classified under the name Panicum xanthophysum, has the common names slender rosette grass, panic grass, and slender panic-grass. This species is a plant native to North America. In Connecticut, it is classified as a species of special concern and is believed to be extirpated from the state. It is listed as endangered in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
