Dicerca obscura (Fabricius, 1781) is a species of beetle belonging to the Chrysochroinae subfamily. Individuals of this species are brownish-black in color. This beetle is native to central and eastern regions of the United States and Canada. In its native range, it feeds on multiple species of persimmon, including Diospyros virginiana, as well as staghorn sumac.
