Diastrophus rubi is a species of gall wasp belonging to the family Cynipidae. This wasp lives on the stems of brambles, which are plants in the genus Rubus. It was first described in 1834 by German entomologist Peter Friedrich Bouché, and it occurs in Europe. Within Europe, Diastrophus rubi has been recorded in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Spain, and Sweden. In Great Britain, it is most common in the southern and eastern parts of the country.
