Diarsia rubi (Vieweg, 1790) is a fairly small moth species with a wingspan of 30–38 mm. Its forewings are typically dull greyish-pink, but individuals can vary in color to red brown. The forewings feature a pale angular marking, which gives this species its common name. Additional markings on the forewing include olive crosslines and shaded areas, a brown cell, a reniform spot with a whitish outline, a dark speck at the end of the claviform spot, and a dark marginal area. The hindwings are pale luteous grey, with a pink fringe.
