Dianthus sylvestris, commonly called the wood pink, is a species of the Dianthus genus. It is native to Europe, where it occurs most commonly in the Alps, and also has a disjunct population in the mountains of Greece. This plant is a perennial that prefers to grow in dry, stony habitats. Due to its preferred growing conditions, it is sometimes planted in rock gardens.
