Dianthus seguieri Vill. is a hemicryptophyte scapose carnation that grows 25 to 60 centimetres (9.8 to 23.6 inches) tall. This species has green lanceolate leaflets and pink flowers with purple markings at the center. Its flowering season runs from June to September. It produces seed capsules that hold several brown seeds. Dianthus seguieri can be found in central and southern Europe, primarily occurring in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, and Switzerland. It grows in dry meadows at altitudes between 100 and 1,000 metres (330 and 3,280 feet) above sea level.
