About Delosperma sutherlandii (Hook.fil.) N.E.Br.

Delosperma sutherlandii (Hook.fil.) N.E.Br. is a dwarf perennial plant native to South Africa, where it occurs naturally in KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and North West Province. This species grows into a dense, lawn-like mat that produces abundant, long-lasting flowers. Mature plants reach around 60 cm in diameter and 10–15 cm in height, and bear what may be the largest flowers among all plants of its type. For cultivation, D. sutherlandii can be grown successfully across a wide range of areas with Mediterranean climates. It is also commonly included in plant collections, where it is regularly cultivated.
