About Deleaster dichrous (Gravenhorst, 1802)
Deleaster dichrous reaches a length of 6.5 to 8 millimeters, or 0.2 to 0.3 inches. This species has dark brown coloring on its head and abdomen, while its antennae, legs, and all other parts of the body are orange. Deleaster dichrous is native to Europe. Within its native range, it occurs in lowlands and at the bases of mountains. It can be found crawling in open grasslands, damp forests, and coastal areas, where it usually hides among long grasses. In more urbanized areas, it lives in parks and landfills.
