Daucus pumilus (L.) Hoffm. & Link is a plant species belonging to the carrot family, Apiaceae. While this species is native to the Canary Islands, it can be found across the entire Mediterranean region, including Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Levant. In the Maltese language, this plant is known as Zunnarija tar-ramel, which translates to Sand Carrot, and it is reported to be very uncommon in Malta.
