Cyperus pseudovegetus is a species of sedge. Its scientific name is Cyperus pseudovegetus Steud. This sedge is distributed across the southeastern United States, ranging from Texas in the west all the way east to the Atlantic Ocean. It most often grows in habitat types that have moist soil, including pine flatwoods, and the edges of rivers and ponds. This species was first formally described by botanist Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel in 1854.
