Cyperus croceus, commonly called Baldwin's flatsedge, is a species of sedge. Its accepted scientific name is Cyperus croceus Vahl. It is native to regions of North America, Central America, and South America. This species was first formally described by botanist Martin Vahl in 1805. For healthy growth, C. croceus needs a semi-tropical climate. It grows in moist environments, and has been recorded growing in floodplains and other fluvial environments.
