Cynodon nlemfuensis Vanderyst, commonly known as African Bermuda-grass, is a grass species that belongs to the genus Cynodon in the family Poaceae. It is native to Tropical Africa, excluding West Africa. It has been widely introduced as a forage grass to many other regions, including Hawaii, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, the Galápagos, South America, western and southern Africa, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Australia. This species grows from stolons and does not produce rhizomes.
