About Cymopterus globosus (S.Watson) S.Watson

Cymopterus globosus (S.Watson) S.Watson is a species of flowering plant in the carrot family, with the common name globe springparsley. It is native to sandy flats spanning from eastern California to Utah, located in the western United States. This is a low, stemless plant, with leaves that lie parallel to or flat against the ground. Its green-gray, parsley-shaped leaves are divided into multiple leaflets, which are further split into neatly pointed segments. One or more tall purple or red-brown peduncles each bear an inflorescence: a spherical umbel densely packed with white or pinkish-purple flowers. The umbels may grow in pairs atop the peduncle, and they are often heavy enough to bend the peduncle down to the ground.
