About Cyclophyllum coprosmoides (F.Muell.) S.T.Reynolds & R.J.F.Hend.

Cyclophyllum coprosmoides can grow up to 15 metres tall, but it is more commonly found as a tall shrub. It grows in subtropical rainforest, monsoon forest, and littoral rainforest. Its fragrant white flowers develop between January and March, and turn golden brown as they age. The fruit of this plant is a fleshy orange-red drupe, around 8 mm long, that appears from October to December. Fruits most often contain two seeds, one in each lobe of the internal hard capsule; each seed is surrounded by a glossy red aril. Mature fruits of Cyclophyllum coprosmoides are edible.
