About Cyclophora porata (Linnaeus, 1767)

Cyclophora porata (Linnaeus, 1767) has a wingspan measuring 25–30 millimetres (0.98–1.18 inches). Its forewings are reddish, warm orange-brown, while its hindwings are noticeably lighter in color. All of its wings are covered in abundant grey scales, and both forewings and hindwings bear a distinct central spot: a dark ring surrounding a white center. The grey scales give the wings a shiny appearance. The inner and outer cross-lines are split into a row of separate black dots. The middle crossband is greyish, and blends into the wing's background color with no clear boundary.
