Cyclolepis is a monotypic genus of flowering plants that belongs to the family Asteraceae. The only species in this genus is Cyclolepis genistoides Gillies ex D.Don, which is native to South America. It is confirmed to occur in Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay, and possibly also occurs in Bolivia. One of its common names is matorro negro. In certain types of saline habitats, this plant is a dominant halophytic shrub. Examples of these habitats include coastal areas near Bahía Blanca and the inland salt marshes of central Argentina.
