About Cybistax antisyphilitica (Mart.) Mart.

Cybistax antisyphilitica (Mart.) Mart. is a semi-deciduous plant species. It produces greyish green, opposite, palmately compound leaves. Its wood is close-grained and light-colored, and is considered suitable for making furniture. In early spring, the plant grows showy clusters of bright yellow, funnel-shaped flowers at the ends of its branches; these flowers measure 2–2.5 cm wide. It forms straight, pendulous brown pods that are 25–50 cm long. The pods contain thin, flat seeds, each of which has papery wings.
