About Cryptoptila immersana (Walker, 1863)
Cryptoptila immersana, commonly known as the four eyes or ivy leafroller, is a moth species belonging to the family Tortricidae. This species is found in Queensland, New South Wales, and Tasmania. Females of this moth have a wingspan of approximately 27 millimeters, while males have a wingspan of about 22 millimeters. The larvae feed on plant species from the families Caprifoliaceae, Liliaceae, Oleaceae, Ranunculaceae, Rosaceae, Rutaceae, Salicaceae, Verbenaceae, and Zamiaceae, as well as the specific species Hedera helix and Kennedia prostrata. This species is also considered a pest on Persea americana.
