Cruentomycena viscidocruenta, commonly called the ruby bonnet, is an agaric fungus species that belongs to the family Mycenaceae. This fungus grows in the moist forested regions of Australia and New Zealand, where it typically appears in small groups growing on rotting wood. When identifying this species, care must be taken to distinguish the ruby bonnet from red-colored forms of Hygrocybe mushrooms.
