Crotalaria verrucosa L., commonly known as blue rattlepod, is a species of flowering plant in the legume family Fabaceae, belonging to the subfamily Faboideae. This perennial herbaceous shrub grows to a height of approximately 50 to 100 cm. It is found in tropical and subtropical regions, ranging from Bangladesh to Sri Lanka in South Asia, and also occurs in Southeast Asia, Australasia, and Central America.
