About Crocus versicolor Ker Gawl.
Crocus versicolor Ker Gawl. is a flowering plant species belonging to the genus Crocus in the family Iridaceae. It is native to southeast France, Monaco, and northwestern Italy. Its flowers display a mix of white, lilac, and purple coloring, and often feature stripes on their outer surfaces. In the wild, it commonly grows in stony, grassy areas, as well as in scrub environments and among rocks. It can be found at elevations up to 1200 meters, and its flowering period runs from February to April. Its closest known relatives are Crocus imperati and Crocus malyi.
