About Crocanthemum corymbosum (Michx.) Britton
Crocanthemum corymbosum, commonly known as pine barren frostweed, is a species of perennial herb or subshrub. It is endemic to the U.S. southeast coastal plain, found in the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Mississippi. It grows in sandy, fire-dependent habitats across the southeast, including sandhill, dry flatwoods, and scrub.
