About Crocanthemum canadense (L.) Britton

Crocanthemum canadense (L.) Britton is a perennial flowering plant. It grows 8 to 24 inches (200 to 610 mm) tall, and blooms from May to June; each individual flower only blooms for one day. Normally, each stem bears one single flower, though two flowers on a single stem occur rarely. Its flowers are yellow with five petals, and measure between 3/4 and 1 1/4 inches across. Its leaves have an alternating arrangement along stems and are covered in hairs. The plant's stems are also covered in hairs, and can be brown or green in color.
