About Crithagra atrogularis (A.Smith, 1836)
The black-throated canary, with the scientific name Crithagra atrogularis, is also commonly called the black-throated seedeater. It is a finch species that belongs to the family Fringillidae. This species occurs regularly across a range of African countries, including Angola, Botswana, Burundi, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Kenya, Lesotho, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, dry savanna, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
