About Crepis pulchra L.

Crepis pulchra L. is a species of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family, commonly known as smallflower hawksbeard. This species is native to Europe, where it is widespread across much of the continent. It also grows naturally in Morocco, Algeria, and western and central Asia. It has become naturalized in parts of the United States and in the Canadian province of Ontario. Crepis pulchra is an annual herb that can grow up to 100 cm (40 inches) tall. A single plant can produce up to 40 flower heads. Each head contains up to 30 yellow ray florets, and has no disc florets. Two recognized subspecies of Crepis pulchra are Crepis pulchra subsp. pulchra and Crepis pulchra subsp. turkestanica Babc.
