About Crassula sarcocaulis Eckl. & Zeyh.
This species, commonly known as bonsai crassula, produces small pink or white flowers in summer. The flowers have a scent described as similar to honey or blackcurrant jelly. Mature plants reach around 30 to 50 cm (1 to 1.5 ft) in both height and width. In cultivation, this small hardy plant is one of the most cold-tolerant species in the Crassula genus, surviving temperatures as low as approximately -12 °C (10 °F), and it also tolerates heat. It is drought-tolerant and typically disease-free, though it may be attacked by aphids, mealybugs, and vine weevils. It can be grown either indoors or outdoors, and tolerates full or partial sunshine, though full sunlight is preferred. Like most succulents, it grows best in well-drained soil and only requires occasional watering.
