About Crassula colligata Toelken

Crassula colligata Toelken is an annual herb belonging to the Crassulaceae family, native to southern Australia and New Zealand. Two subspecies are currently recognised: Crassula colligata subsp. colligata and Crassula colligata subsp. lamprosperma. This species has an erect growth habit and typically reaches a height of 16 centimetres (6.3 inches). Along the south coast of Western Australia, it is commonly found on cliffs and scarps, in gullies, behind dunes, and near salt lakes, within the Great Southern, Wheatbelt, and Goldfields-Esperance regions. Crassula colligata subsp. lamprosperma is an introduced plant in Southern California; it was first collected in this area in 2002, in the San Gabriel Valley at the mouth of San Gabriel Canyon.
