About Coursetia glandulosa A.Gray

Coursetia glandulosa, commonly called the rosary babybonnets, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the legume family Fabaceae. It is native to desert and dry scrubland regions in the U.S. state of Arizona, Mexico, and Honduras. It is a deciduous shrub that grows up to 20 feet (6 meters) tall, and is typically found in rocky habitats like canyons, at elevations below 1,200 meters (4,000 feet). Heavy orange encrustations that often form on its branches are caused by infestations of lac insects.
