About Cosmosoma stibosticta Butler, 1876

Scientific name: Cosmosoma stibosticta Butler, 1876. This species was first described by Arthur Gardiner Butler, originally known from two specimens collected in Pacho, New Granada, which corresponds to present-day Colombia. In the original description, the species was noted to have distinct physical features: a black head with two white dots, black antennae that grow from a white spot, a black thorax with a large central white spot, and a golden yellow abdomen with three black terminal segments.
