Most of the body and legs of Cosmophasis bitaeniata have a reflective, metallic yellow-gold sheen, and this color changes with ambient light. Narrow silver stripes outlined in black run across the carapace and abdomen. Females and males are very similar in appearance, and both have a body length of 6 mm (0.24 in). Males are slightly smaller, with a narrower abdomen.
