About Coprosma cheesemanii W.R.B.Oliv.
According to the New Zealand Plant Conservation Network, Coprosma cheesemanii W.R.B.Oliv. is a low-growing shrub with very small leaves. Its branches produce short, leafy branches that grow perpendicular to the main branch, creating a flattened overall appearance, and it grows in upland areas. Its twigs are fuzzy. Its leaves are glossy, narrow, 8-11mm long, and have a pointed tip. Leaves grow in paired clusters, with a line of small hairs between the leaf bases. Its fruit is orange or reddish. This species occurs across New Zealand's North and South Islands, ranging from Mt. Hikurangi southward. Its habitat spans montane to subalpine zones; it is not restricted entirely to hillsides, and can also be found in wet flat areas including bogs and swamps.
