Full-grown larvae of Conogethes punctiferalis Guenée, 1854 reach about 20 mm in length. This species is considered a pest of fruit trees. Adult moths have a wingspan between 14 and 20 mm, and are yellow with a dark pattern. This species is naturally distributed from India and Pakistan, through southeast Asia, to Australia. It has been recorded in many other parts of the world, mostly when larvae are imported along with fruit. Confirmed introduced records include Hawaii, Great Britain, and the Netherlands.
