About Condica vecors Guenée, 1852

Condica vecors, commonly known as the dusky groundling, is a moth species that belongs to the family Noctuidae. This species was first formally described by Achille Guenée in 1852. Its distribution ranges from Newfoundland to Florida in eastern North America, extending west to Arizona and north to Ontario. The wingspan of adult individuals measures between 29 and 38 mm. Adults are active in flight from May to August across the northern parts of its range, and from April to October across the southern parts. This species produces two generations per year. The larvae of Condica vecors feed on plants of the genus Eupatorium and on lettuce.
