About Condica illecta (Walker, 1865)

Condica illecta (Walker, 1865), is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. Its distribution spans the Indo-Australian and Pacific tropics, with recorded occurrences in Borneo, Hawaii, Hong Kong, India, New Guinea, the Society Islands, Taiwan, and the Australian states of Queensland and New South Wales. It is also found in New Zealand. This moth has an approximate wingspan of 40 mm. The larvae of Condica illecta feed on a variety of species in the plant family Asteraceae, specifically including Ageratum houstonianum, Bidens pilosa and Calendula officinalis. Pupation for this species occurs in soil.
