About Conchylodes salamisalis Druce, 1895
Conchylodes salamisalis, commonly known as the blush conchylodes moth, is a species of moth in the family Crambidae. It was first described by Herbert Druce in 1895. This species is found in Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, and the southern United States, where it has been recorded from Texas. Both the forewings and hindwings of Conchylodes salamisalis are silky, hyaline white. The forewings have three short dark brown streaks, plus two broad brown bands that run from the costa across to the inner margin. There is a dark brown spot located near the apex of the forewing, and a fawn-colored submarginal band. The hindwings have a fawn-colored spot, with a fine black line on each side of this spot.
