About Collix ghosha Walker, 1862

The wingspan of male Collix ghosha Walker, 1862 is approximately 28 mm, while the wingspan of females ranges from 28 to 30 mm (1.1 to 1.2 in). On the palpi, the second joint extends far past the frontal tuft. The mid tibia of the male is greatly dilated and has a deep groove. The overall ground color of the moth's body is greyish brown. Its waved wing lines are particularly prominent. A postmedial series of pale specks is more or less developed, and the submarginal series of specks is obsolescent. The ventral side of the moth is whitish. Discocellular spots are larger. The postmedial band is replaced by a series of streaks, which at the middle almost connect to the submarginal spots. These submarginal spots form an almost complete band, with the only gap between veins 3 and 4.
