About Coequosa triangularis Donovan, 1805

This species, scientifically named Coequosa triangularis Donovan, 1805, was first formally described by Edward Donovan in 1805. It has an approximate wingspan of 130 mm, which makes it the largest hawk moth found in Australia. Adult individuals of this moth are yellow and brown, and feature broad, wavy markings. This species is currently known to occur in the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland.
