About Coenagrion interrogatum (Selys, 1876)
Coenagrion interrogatum, commonly known as the Subarctic bluet, is a blue and black pond damselfly that belongs to the family Coenagrionidae. This species was first formally described by Edmond de Sélys Longchamps in 1876. According to the University of Alberta E.H. Strickland Entomological Museum, its distribution covers the most northerly range among Eurasian bluets. There are recorded occurrences of this damselfly in Alaska, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, across most of Canada, and extending east to Newfoundland. It can also be found in some northern eastern U.S. states and across most of New England.
