About Clerodendrum paniculatum L.

Clerodendrum paniculatum, commonly known as the pagoda flower, is a flowering plant species belonging to the genus Clerodendrum in the mint family, Lamiaceae. Its native range covers tropical Asia, Papuasia, Fiji, and French Polynesia, with specific native locations including southern China (including Taiwan), Indochina, southern India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Borneo, Sulawesi, Sumatra, the Philippines, and the Bismarck Archipelago. It has been introduced to Central America. This species is recognized for its red flowers, which grow in a very precisely formed thyrsoid cyme that can reach up to 40 cm (16 in) long and 38 cm (15 in) wide.
